The best beauty tips on lips

- If you wish to have gorgeous lips all through the day, then you need to draw all over your lips using a lip pencil before you apply lip stick or lip gloss.

- In order to have fuller looking lips, you can draw lines on your lips using a pencil and then mix the edges by using a sponge applicator. Then you can finish it off with petroleum jelly or lip gloss.
- To keep your teeth clear of lip stick. First open your mouth in to an extreme "O" shape. Then wrap a tissue on your finger and insert the finger in to your mouth and slowly circle your finger all around your mouth. This will get rid of any extra lip color out there.
- If you apply a little bit of lip gloss in the middle of your top lip, that would give you a sexy and pouty mouth.
- Find out a light eye shadow color which goes with your lip color shade and apply it right in the middle portion where your upper and lower lips meet each other.
- If you apply a lighter shade of lip stick on your smaller sized lip, that will hide the uneven size of your lips.
- To avoid losing lip stick while eating, you can try to keep your lips from touching the utensils, with the use of your tongue and lower level teeth.
- You can smoothen your lips out, by rubbing it with a wash cloth, before the application of lip stick on them.
- If you use any foundation around your lips, that would give a much more accurate look, even without the use of a lip liner.
For Full Lips lip tips:
Only a very few fortunate women have the perfectly sexy big lips!! Now a days, women try collagen to give them better lips. But there is a risk of your lips ruining the over all shape of your face, unless you do it very carefully.
- Lip liner is not necessary at all. If you like softer edges, you can achieve with the use of your finger or a Q-tip.
- Never try on any heavily shiny or glossy lip color.
- Use a neutral colored lip pencil and draw a little bit away from the lip. Now if you apply lip stick, it will fill up to the liner.
- You can use a white shadow above your lip stick, about the centre of your lips and then spread it a little bit.
- Use of any really dark shades of lip stick will give the appearance of even smaller lips than what you really have.

Pros and Cons of Waxing for Hair Removal

Pros and Cons of Waxing for Hair Removal

Hair removal is something women spend hours a month on, in most cases. In fact, American women focus on hair removal and hygiene more than women of any other culture in the world. Sure, beauty is a priority of American society but is it really effective to spend so much time on shaving? Women looking for a more permanent solution to hair removal are turning to the alternative waxing method to get the results they desire.

Pros of Waxing: Getting Rid of Unwanted Hair Benefits

Waxing can result in your skin feeling smooth and sleek, for weeks at a time. While many women routinely wax their eye brow areas, facial areas and lip, others are turning to waxing for their leg hair, arm hair or overall body hair. In addition, men are seeking out back waxing treatments. The major advantages which accompany waxing include the fact waxing removes hair for longer periods of time than traditional shaving can. A proper waxing procedure can remove hair for weeks at a time, with minimal re-growth. For those who don’t want to deal with facial hair or their bikini line on a daily basis, waxing offers the opportunity to deal with it once a month or even longer in some cases. While waxing does cost more than a one time shave, when the monthly cost of razors and cream are added into the equation, it can be just as cost efficient.
Waxing is an ideal choice for those who are in swimsuits often, those who are planning to go on a vacation or those who simply don’t have time for daily shaving. Imagine being able to sleep an extra thirty minutes a day because you didn’t have to shave! However, be sure if you do get waxing before a vacation, you do so about a week before you leave so the sun and sand won’t irritate a new wax job.
Cons of Waxing for Hair Removal
Waxing is a convenient way to keep unwanted hair from your body, however it does come with some disadvantages. First, it’s painful. Depending on what body part you’re getting waxed, the process can be brutal. This depilatory method is great for something like a lip or for the popular Brazilian wax, but when doing large areas like legs or the back, it can be lengthy and painful.
In addition, waxing can lead to complications. If proper preparation is not followed before the waxing session, ingrown hairs may occur. Those with sensitive skin might also experience allergic reactions to the process, which can be very bothersome. To prepare for a wax session, it’s important to exfoliate and be sure you’re not allergic to the wax being used. You can always ask your wax expert to do a small section of your body, go home and wait for a few days to see if a reaction takes place and then return for the rest of the treatment if you’re in the clear. This way you’ll not be exposing a large part of your body to risk of allergic reaction, if you’re susceptible to them.
Whether you choose to wax or not is certainly completely up to you and your personal needs and desires. While many women choose to splurge on it before a vacation, others commit to a monthly waxing session. Waxing can be more expensive and more painful than daily shaving. However, it certainly saves you time in the shower and the results last for much longer then a traditional shaving session.

How To Minimize Large Facial Pores

Oily skin has large opened pores that attract dirt and cause acne and pimples, it is important to minimize the pores to avoid any skin related skin disorder. Remember it is an ongoing process that needs regular care.
  • Scrub
Regular use of sugar scrubs reduces facial pores to a great extent. Additionally it removes fine lines, removes dead skin and toxins making the skin smoother. It helps in getting rid of black heads and makes the skin radiant.
  • Skin Products
Use mild skin products with the skin type. An effective way to minimize pores according to expert dermatologists is to avoid strong and harsh products. Toners and astringents with too much alcohol can cause dryness and chapped skin. As a result, the oil glands produce excess oil which can clog the pores making them enlarged. These can tighten the skin pores temporarily but can have damaging effects in the long-term. The complexion can get deteriorated as well.
Avoid oil based make-up as it can cause pore clogging and consequently making them enlarged. Oil-free products are the best for oily skin with large pores and black heads. Wear a light make-up and remove it before going to bed.
  • Mask
Herbal remedies and fruit masks made at home are excellent idea as they are devoid of strong chemicals, preservatives, artificial fragrances and dyes. Combine gram flour with milk and fresh lemon juice to make a paste. Apply over the face and wash after20 minutes.
Mix two egg whites with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Apply for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Apply witch hazel to further cleanse the pores. Do this once a week.
  • Sun Protection
A sunscreen SPF 30 is a must while cooking or getting exposed to the sunlight. Sun rays can cause wrinkles, patchy skin and spots. It can tan the skin so fast before you notice.
Act upon the advices above and get instant results.

Keep Your Skin Firm

There is a certain part of our body that can disclose all our habits, tiredness and even food we choose or how often we exercise. Whatever we do it affects our skin sooner or later. If we do not live right skin loses its firm. It might be unnoticeable in early youth, but we can’t ignore it later. What can we do to prevent skin from losing its shine and elasticity? Basically, you need to live healthy life and take care of yourself. Here are some simple firm skin secrets to follow.
  • Use sun screener. You probably know that 15 daily minutes in a sun, gives your skin the best portion of the D vitamin. What about a longer period? Sun can dry skin cells and do pretty much damage by fastening aging processes and causing serious diseases. Sun
  • screener can prevent this from happening. Even if you want to become tanned, without protective means you will rather give your skin damaged but not shinny look.
  • Moisturize your skin every day. Sun, wind, cold, improper soaps, air conditioning or central heating – these are only several things that make a skin to lose its moisture. Apply special cream or oil right after bathing. Pay additional attention to your hands and face; they front most of environmental damage around the year. The less dye and perfume a lotion contains the better it’s for your skin.
  • Exercise regularly. It makes your shape look better and gives you energy. Furthermore it keeps your skin elastic. Regular exercising helps your skin to take up more necessary oxygen. When aging this skin ability can be strongly reduced.
  • Try contrasting shower. Pour yourself with hot and cold water by turns before you get out of bath/shower. This will make your skin to
  • relax and contract again and again and will keep it more elastic. Contrasting shower is also recommended as prevention mean against cellulite.
  • Avoid changing your weight too fast. When you lose weight too fast, your skin may not keep in pace with your body. And crumpled wrinkles may be left as a result. Needless to say ultra dieting is not healthy for whole organism. This also works the other way around: if you gain a lot of weight in a short time without moisturizing your skin, small tears may follow.
  • Eat healthy food. Every food is good for you in certain portions. If you prefer fast food to vegetables and home prepared meal, you probably get too much refined carbohydrate and fats, but not enough proteins, vitamins and minerals that your body needs for real.
  • Drink a lot of water. Humidity is vital for skin cells to regenerate. If you don’t drink recommended daily water intake, your body dehydrates and your skin fails to regenerate.

Summer Skin Care

Healthy skin is slightly acidic, due to the acid mantle which covers it. The acid mantle is a combination of sebum and perspiration designed to protect the skin from the environment. Each day we lose 850 ml of water through perspiration, so drinking water is helpful in replacing this lost fluid. During the summer, water loss is more rapid, and humid conditions accelerate water loss through the skin as the body attempts to cool itself. As a result, sebum production increases, collecting on the skin and clogging pores. For many, this process results in breakouts, so regular cleansing is recommended.
A good skin care regimen for most skin types during the summer months is the following:

1. Cleansing with a natural, vegetable soap or soap-based cleanser.

2. Exfoliation, not exceeding once or twice per week

3. Hydrate your skin with an alcohol free, natural toner or fill a clean, sterile spray bottle with filtered water and mist over the face after cleansing or exfoliation.

4. Moisturize with a light, all natural moisturizer. Creams and lotions with petroleum based ingredients tend to clog the pores unnecessarily.

5. Massage a face oil or moisturizer into the skin at night. Massaging serves to increase circulation to the skin, which helps the natural rejuvenation processes which take place during sleep.

6. Keep lips protected and moisturized with a lip balm, lip gloss or lipstick, preferably containing a natural sunblock such as titanium dioxide.

7.Cover up to reduce the amount of exposure to the sun with a wide brimmed hat, long and loose fitting clothing. Ninety percent of skin cancers are due to chronic sun damage and eighty percent of wrinkles arise from photoaging.

Any skin care discourse which does not include a discussion of nutrition is lacking a fundamental principle of healthy skin care. Good health and beauty are synonymous. For instance, a clogged and spotty complexion can be linked to a diet high in saturated fats and sugar. Sensitive skin may become worsened by poor digestion or inadequate absorption of nutrients. Dry flaky skin may reflect a diet low in fatty acids or vitamin E. Skin that does not heal quickly may be low in vitamins A, B6, C or zinc. A healthy, varied diet helps the skin defend itself against infection, cell damage and premature aging, especially during the summer months. Increasing your daily intake of fresh, raw vegetables and fruit adds vitamins, antioxidants and water to your diet. Take advantage of the increased variety of fresh foods available during the summer, since a good diet is one of the essential elements for healthy, glowing skin.

Dry, Chapped Lips Healing Tips: Causes and How to Cure Cracked Lips with the Right Treatments

While most people think of chapped lips being a winter time woe, the truth is dry lips can occur in any season. Chapped lips can become very painful, especially if ignored. Not only are flaky lips unattractive, but living with sore lips can be severely aggravating!

Main Causes Of Cracked Lips
Chapped lips (medically known as cheilitis) are caused by several things. Most people are familiar with the fact if they lick their lips during cold or windy weather, they could become chapped. Most people stock up on Vaseline or lip balm during the winter months. Layering on a natural lip protectant before heading out into the extremities is a good way to prevent chapped lips.

Chapped lips can also be caused by excessive licking of the lips. There are thousands of people who have a habit of licking their lips multiple times throughout the day. This extreme licking routine can cause irritation of the skin on and around the mouth (including the lips).

Most people find themselves licking their lips more than needed because they feel as if their lips are constantly dry. Children are the most common offenders of this habit. The best way to counteract this type of habit and resulting chapping is by ensuring the lips are constantly moisturized. Therefore, you don’t feel as if you need to lick your lips throughout the day.
Moisturize Lips More Than Your Skin
One of the best ways to learn how to prevent chapped lips is by remembering to consistently moisturize your lips. Sure, you may spend a great deal of time applying lotion and cream to your face and body. However, you should not forget your lips. Beauty tips experts agree the skin on the lips is as sensitive as the skin on your eyes. It should be treated with care! Products from Chapstick or Burts Bees are often great choices in lip moisturization.

Finding a Remedy that Dry Lips Treatment that Works
Finding a treatment that works for your chapped lips can be a bit of a challenge. What works for some people, may not work well for others. While there’s not a technical cure for chapped lips, there are many remedies you can try at home. To soothe chapped lips, apply a thick lip balm. Many people choose to use plain Vaseline instead of trying to medicate with other lip treatments.

Any ointment with natural ingredients is ideal to help your lips heal with ease. While your lips are healing, be sure not to lick your lips or get excess saliva in mouth and lip area. As your lips are almost healed, you can take a toothbrush and softly brush it across your lips to remove all dead skin. Be careful when doing this, as you don’t want to cause further damage.

Teen Girls

Beauty Tips for Teen Girls

Teen Makeup and clothing is an issue for many teenage girls. If you are stressing about what you should look like as a newcomer in middle school, or a freshie in high school, here's a quick guide to help your fashion mature with you throughout middle and high school.
In Sixth grade, wear lip gloss, some mascara, and maybe a little bit of pale eyeshadow; don't go too heavy or it may look bad. If you want to try out more types of makeup, keep that for home experiments.
As for clothes, keep it in your comfort level. Bear this in mind: if you are wearing a bra or undershirt, don't let the straps hang out. It doesn't look cool; it just looks sloppy. If you are wearing a short shirt, check in the mirror to see if your stomach hangs out of the bottom. Otherwise, wear something a little bit longer. Also, if your pants are likely to slip, wear a belt. Belts are totally hip now!
* The main point is to keep the makeup light, and the clothes clean cut.
In Seventh grade you are beginning to care a little more what you look like; you might want to try curling your hair a few days a week, and using different hairstyles besides your typical ponytail.
If you are acne prone, try foundation. Remember thet even oily skin can get flaky and that looks horrible with foundation. So try it on weekends first and ask your mother (or someone that uses foundation well) if it looks okay.
In Seventh grade you might want to try eyeliner. But not too much because you don't want to look like a racoon!
Start trying to tie outfits together with accessories. It's good to try new things with your makeup and clothes. But when you try the new things, make sure it looks good on you, not just in the picture or at the store. Check out different stores, and find out if there is a style that suits you.
In eighth grade you are probably getting good at makeup and you know what you like. Try establishing your own hairstyle without looking like everyone else. For example, if everyone has long, layered hair with no bangs, try light wispy bangs and a shorter, layered look.
You might be wearing tighter jeans now and probably starting to get concerned with impressing the guys, so it's safe to try out more mature styles such as a sleek leather blazer, or lower cut necklines. If you are happy with your sports bra, that is totally OK. But it's safe now to check out the actual bra department and wear something that makes you feel pretty - like lace.
Ninth grade: high school! This is a big transition. Now in the same world as seniors, you are going to want to look like the rest of your peers. You should by now have your makeup and hair styles already. Try to update this look a bit, because no one wants to carry the same look they had in middle school. Dramatize a detail in your hair. If its known for it's left side part, part it even deeper. Make a straight style even sleeker and hip. Learn to make youre curls tighter, or looser.
In high school you might want to wear your usual make up during the day, and as you start to go out with friends and boys at night, add a darker shade of eyeliner, or jazz up your lips with something more festive. It's also good to try new shoes, try wearing spikier ankle boots with a pair of hot jeans and a blouse. Chunkier heels aren't as hip as spikes as you get older. Incorporate accessories into your outfit. Buy yourself a bag that's in suede or leather to keep your schoolbooks in, instead of a backpack. You will want to buy yourself a new jacket, and make it your own.
You know what you like, so go and find clothes that fit your style, but crank it up a notch for a more mature feel.

Define Your Eyes - Eye Makeup Tips and Tricks

No matter if blue, brown, hazel or green, eyes have been referred to as windows to the soul, giving those who exchange glances the power to better grasp one's personality and emotions. Eyes reveal joy and elation as much as they uncover sadness, melancholy and distress. Sometimes pensive, mischievous or mysterious, eyes can let us in on little secrets we might otherwise miss in dealings with people we know and love.
Eyes can exercise a special power of seduction by casting an enchanting gaze in another direction. A wink can signal a special understanding or remind another of an inside joke or amusing memory. Eyes also key into flirtation a great deal. Cartoons and old movies always show the femme fatales batting their long, dark eyelashes in an attempt to attract the men.
No matter what your motives, playing up the looks of your eyes will bring a natural definition to your facial features while accentuating perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic on your visage. The main makeup components you may want to consider when dressing up your pretty peepers Retro Eyes are mascara - Lashes Unlimited, eye shadow and possibly eyeliner, though sometimes pressed powder or a light foundation will work wonders for circles under the eyes.
Eye Shadow Artistic Palettes
Depending on the hues you wish to use, you can get a little colorful and creative with the wide selection of products for eyelids on the market. No longer do you have to sift through dozens of shades of eye shadow powder looking for the perfect blend now you can accessorize your eyes with a beautiful array of powders - see Evangeline Lilly, creams and glittery dustings. Traditional eye shadow powders are very easy to use with small applicator brushes and foam pads. For a dimensional look, blend two colors of powder or one color of powder atop a cream shadow base.
With cream-based eye shadows, less really is more. The cream shadows generally come in small squeeze tubes that really enhance the look of your eyes with a light application across the lid, reaching up to your brows if you wish.
Not sure about colors? Go with something neutral, like Uma Thruman, the first couple of times until you get the hang of it. Apply a light dusting of bronze, tan - see Bronze Ambition or other shimmery transparent color for a gentle hint of color.
Mascara
When selecting mascara, many factors come into play, with each brands newest addition to the line claiming bigger and better benefits. From thickening to lengthening to blackest black, waterproof and curling, each mascara product has a special offering of its own. Considering your own lashes, choose one that best suits your needs.

If you wish to avoid that scary-looking metal eyelash curler that appears more like an ancient torture devise, opt for a product that contains a curling formula. Choose the color you want to wear - black, brown or even navy blue. With so many options available, you can add a couple types of mascara to your collection and change your look as often as you like!
Generally, applying two coats of mascara will give enough definition to lashes to really make a difference. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second in an effort to prevent clumping. If some of the mascara accidentally brushes onto your eyelids or underneath, simply use a q-tip to remove it. This may necessitate touching up your eye shadow a bit.
Eyeliner
To really define your eyes, apply a thin line of eyeliner in black or brown, khaki, plum or navy. To properly apply the eyeliner pencil or liquid liner, gently pull the corner of your eye outward, forming a straight line along your lashes. Starting at the inside corner and working toward the outside, delicately trace a line with the pencil angled toward your lashes.
Be careful how much eyeliner you apply, as a little really does go a long way. For a dramatic look, thicker and darker is very acceptable. For a subtle definition, stick with a lighter application.
* * * *
Feel free to experiment with a bunch of different products until you find the ones that suit you best. Also, check into the makeup counters at local department stores. They have a wide array of makeup you can test before you buy so that you know what you are getting for the money. For lower budgets, drug stores sometimes offer a return policy if a customer is dissatisfied with her purchase. Doing a home makeover can be fun as well as a form of much-needed stress relief.

Perfect Makeup in Minutes

No matter what time of day it is, or how busy you are, there are certain golden rules when applying your makeup. Here is a short guide to getting your war paint right every time!
Laying The Foundations
Foundation should be the perfect match to your skin tone. Nobody looks good when they have skin the color of a pumpkin! And worse yet, beware of the tidemarks at the jaw line. Always make sure that your foundation is well blended if you want to avoid looking like you're wearing a mask.
Top tip - if you use a shimmering moisturizer before you apply your foundation then your skin will absolutely glow!
Dark Circles?
No way! There is a huge range of products on the market for different tones and textures of concealer. Don't be tempted to go two shades lighter than your natural color, as it will make the darkness of your skin more gray and muddy. And be careful not to lay it on too thick. Apart from the fact that it looks like youre wearing too much makeup, it may also damage the delicate skin beneath your eyes. Remember, you want to tint the discoloration, not mask it.
Top tip - Have a good look at the actual color of your dark circles. If your darkness is gray, lightly apply a soft pink eye shadow to the circles before applying your foundation. If your darkness is more of a blue hue, use a light peach color first instead.
Powdering Up
Keep your powder application light by using loose powder and a big brush for application. Less is definitely more here. Make sure that you buy a good powder that will sink into your skin, rather than visibly lie of the top of it.
Top tip - before applying your powder, try blotting your foundation with a tissue. This will remove any excess oils, and help to stop you from getting shiny.
Blushing Beauty
Only apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks, and build up the color layers slowly. Next, blend the blush in so that the color looks natural. Remember, you are just trying to enhance the facial definition that you already have. No matter how much we may want to, it is impossible to draw on fantastic cheekbones. Just be yourself!
Top tip - if you make a mistake and put too much blusher on, don't panic! You don't need to start over. Instead, just moisten a sponge and gently dab your cheeks with it. This will dilute the color and return your overall look to something acceptable!
Luscious Lips
Whatever lipstick you use, there is one golden rule to follow... just make sure that it is right for your skin tone, hair and eye coloring. Go vampy for the night time with darker shades, and keep it calm and cute with tinted lip-gloss during the day.
Top tip - if you want great looking shimmery lips try applying sparkling eye shadow over the top of your lipstick to create a new shiny shade, absolutely free!
Powerful Peepers
So long as its applied in a constant, unwobbly line, your eyeliner can be as bold as you wish. Use lighter shades of eye shadow during the day, and go darker at night. A shimmering highlighter applied just beneath the eyebrow gives even the most tired looking peepers a lift. And always apply your mascara in thin coats, building up the length and thickness slowly. This helps to avoid that terrible clumping which can happen it you try to apply too much, too soon.
Top tip - blend your eyeliner with a thin layer of eye shadow. This will make your eyes look absolutely magnetic!

Beauty Tips for Hardworking Women

Working fulltime and trying to raise a family does not leave much energy or time to worry about ones makeup. For professional females, getting dolled up for work and play may have become a thing of the past long ago. With just a few spare moments, though, quick and easy beauty tricks can refresh a womans look instantly.
For those playing double (or triple) roles as corporate professional and wife and/or mother, applying makeup before starting the day may be the last thing on their minds. Check out the following tips for a new beauty regimen in less than five minutes!

Blemishes and dark spots
Even if you do not have enough time for anything else, use a concealer stick, cover-up or powder makeup to mask blemishes and dark circles under your eyes. Concealing unsightly marks on ones face should take about one to two minutes if only treating specific problem areas. Visine eye drops may be applied to reduce redness of blemishes before applying concealer.
Eyes
A single coat of mascara will only take about one moment per eye, giving just enough definition to lashes, bringing out your eyes. A soft dusting of eye shadow in a complementary shade to ones choice of apparel will further enhance the eyes. Putting on eye color should take no more than a few seconds, though mascara alone is a good substitute if time does not permit eye shadow application.
Lips
For a soft, kissable look, slap some flavored or tinted lip-gloss on your lips. Lipstick or lip stain will draw more attention to your lips than lip-gloss, but either product will make a difference in the way you look and feel.
Hair
Invest in a few hairpins, clips and decorative sticks. Some types of hair accessories allow women to twist their hair up and pin it back, all in about 30 seconds. Spray gel or non-sticky hairspray may also come in handy in order to preserve the style and to secure fly-aways.
Finally, splash on some body spray or perfume and get ready to head out the door. By sparing only five to seven minutes in the morning, your new quick and easy makeup plan can be modified to fit your own beauty sense while giving you a simple foundation to effortless beautification.

Easy Effective Tips to Moisturize Your Skin

No matter what your age or skin type, it is vital to protect the skin you have. Avoid overly exposing your skin to the sun, wind, or harsh chemicals like chlorine. Practice a regular skincare routine by cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing your skin.

Follow these tips to keep your skin as healthy, smooth, and sexy as ever!
  • After a bath or shower, apply moisturizers to lock the moisture into your skin.
  • Alternate between oil-based and water-based moisturizers if you have combination skin.
  • Choose an oil-free, water-based moisturizer for oily skin.
  • Choose a thick, oil-based moisturizer for exceptionally dry skin.
  • Choose a gentle, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic moisturizer for sensitive skin.
  • Do not apply moisturizers too often because it can result in clogged pores.
  • Focus on other body parts besides your face. Moisturizing is vital on dry elbows, knees, legs, breasts, and other areas that may be prone to flaking and chapping.
  • Its never too early to start moisturizing your skin and to protect it from the signs of aging.
  • Mature skin may benefit from moisturizing products that contain alpha-hydroxy acid, selenium, or Tropoelastin.
  • Pick a moisturizer that contains a low level of sunscreen, like SPF 15. It keeps your skin soft and smooth while preventing the negative effects of harmful UV rays.
  • Strengthen your skin by choosing moisturizers that contain Vitamin A and Vitamin E.
  • Wear lots of warm clothes, as well as gloves, scarves, and hats in the winter to prevent chapped skin and loss of moisture.
If you experience difficulty in selecting an appropriate moisturizer for your skin, consult your healthcare provider or a beautician for educated suggestions. If you know your skin type, choose a product created especially for you!

Seductive Beauty

Seduction is Alluring
The dance between the sexes is a wonderful thing when it comes to the subject of seduction. Making ourselves alluring and attractive to the one we desire is both fun and exciting. If that wasn't the case, then there wouldn't be as much need for glamorous lingerie stores, hair dressers, rows and rows of cosmetic shelves in department stores, stores that sell sexy clothing, and hundreds of fragrances from namebrand manufacturers.
It all depends on what turns on the object of your desire. Some women love a man with a full beard, whereas, others couldn't tolerate all that facial hair. Some men are switched on by a female in black, lacy lingerie and five inch heels while other men couldn't care less as they would rather have less packaging to deal with. A pair of sexy legs are appealing to a man. Women seem to prefer manly posteriors (okay, butts). It is all very subjective and based on personal preferences.
So, in order to be seductive, you will have to do your homework and know what turns on his/her switch. You will need to get to know the person to accomplish this.
Seduction is Romantic
Romance is the fine art of genuinely treating the object of your love with a sweet caringness that arrouses the desire in them to want to be with you. If you want to seduce him/her, be romantic!

Applying Eye Make-up and Shadow: Taking the Guesswork Out of Choosing the Right Eye Shadow Shade

The world of eye shadows available today can be quite overwhelming. From shimmers to matte and brights to neutrals. Eye shadows are available in just about every color under the sun. If you are like most women, you are probably wondering what colors will best accentuate your eye color and which eye shadows to stay away from. Remember that eye shadow should always coordinate with your eye color not your outfit color - this is not a fashion trend, but a beauty basic every woman should know.
Take the guess work (and stress) out of choosing the right eye shadow colors by purchasing an eye shadow set that is meant for your specific eye color. See the perfect eye shadow collection for blue eyes, brown eyes and green eyes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other 50's era female TV stars included Barbara Billingsley, who played Beaver's mother June Cleaver. June's makeup was subtle: what you notice is the seeming clarity of her skin and eyes. Again, no shadow was in evidence: as a married housewife, June didn't have the lifestyle for shaded lids.
Makeup in the 60's, like fashion and lots of other things, went wild. If you've seen Love, American Style, or Laugh-In, you've also seen mile-high beehives, minuscule skirts, and piles of bright shadows (often in blue and green), thick mascara and false, furry eyelashes (often worn by the same woman at the same time), and eyebrows that ranged from dense and black to virtually non-existent. The 60's were about the time when mascara started becoming higher in quality. Women wanted gigantic eyes, and makeup that wouldn't run. They were sick of gluing on false lashes which could fall off into the soup when you least expected it. Mascara responded by becoming more user-friendly.
After the 60's, 70's styles seemed downright tame, but looking back from 2004, the 70's still look pretty freakish. Skirts were still tiny, and short-shorts and bikinis made the summertime scene. Polyester made leisure suits a weird part of the masculine wardrobe, and men who weren't even pimps wore gold chains and pinky rings. In makeup, glitter became part of daytime looks, shimmering in slippery lip gloss, sparkling in eye shadows and glimmering up foundations. James Bond movies spanned the 60's and 70's, giving us a timeless look at bizarre fashions and makeup that could be put on with a trowel.
The eighties styles were silk blouses and big shoulder pads, and eye makeup became an important part of the career woman's wardrobe. Maybe because women were trying harder than ever before to smash through the recently-identified glass ceiling, makeup was assertive, almost mask-like. Big jewelry, thick hoop earrings and gold projected the dress-for-success look in the Me-decade. Lined and lipsticked mouths and shadowed, mascaraed eyes competed for attention in faces gessoed smooth with thick foundations. Eyebrows tended to be more real and well-groomed rather than yanked out and drawn on, in keeping with the overall bolder, more "masculine"(natural) look.
Since the nineties, a wide range of looks have become acceptable, perhaps because with the aging of the general population, more women have found the style they'll be staying with for the rest of their lives. Let's face it, at some point, we all choose a look and pretty much stick with it, and women who were in their thirties and forties in the 80's predominate in the population, while younger women experiment with lighter makeup, more casual hairstyles and the smaller trends that wash across the seasons in little waves.
If you look at modern-day stars like Isabella Rossilini, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore, you'll notice that, while makeup enhances their natural looks, it never takes center stage. Lipsticks are a slightly stronger expression of natural lip colors, foundations are muted, and eye makeup draw attention not to itself, but to the eyes. It's not that these women don't wear makeup--they do--it's that the makeup is applied with perfect restraint (and then thoroughly airbrushed, but that’s another story).
If you want to be current with your own eye makeup, spend a lot of time figuring out which colors play up the color and shape of your eyes. Don't fall for trendy colors: you'll just have to buy new ones in a couple of months, and they won't look that great on you anyway. Check out neutral tones in beige, brown and grey, with slightly darker colors for evening. Experiment with mascara, but keep in mind that, contrary to what the ads say, longer and thicker lashes are not necessarily always better-looking. Cows have long, thick lashes too. You want enough lashes to outline your eyes, but not so much that no-one can look away from them.
Eyebrows should be as natural as possible while observing a certain restraint in terms of thickness. If your brows are very pale, you might try a brow pencil, but go gently with it, and get opinions from real and honest friends before taking your new look outside.
As trends have taken us from one extreme to another, finding your own look keeps you from making fashion mistakes that will haunt you in photographs for years to come. With the medical and cosmetics industries coming up with more and more sophisticated formulas, it's a good idea to check out new products that contain sunscreens, hypoallergenic properties and herbal or cosmeceutical ingredients shown to decrease lines, prevent skin cancer or soothe sensitive skin. Obviously, you aren't going to buy into every fashion fairy tale: decades ago, women were using hormones extracted from animals as anti-aging moisturizers. But when you do find something that works for you, you can dance for joy and bless the fashion goddesses for bringing you clearer skin, fewer wrinkles or non-greasy protection from UV rays. With recent advances in skin care, just imagine what the next decade will bring!

Skin Care Information & Tips

While Angelina Jolie is well known for her famous for her style, fashion sense and bold cat eye makeup, you can have the same look using inexpensive cosmetics from drugstore brands like Cover Girl and Loreal. The cat eye makeup look has been around for hundreds of years, with Angelina Jolie obviously not being the first to rock this look. In fact, Cleopatra was well known for her cat eye makeup and was likely the first documented female who sported this fun and sexy eye makeup trend.
Use these beauty tips to learn how to use liner and mascara to create a sensual cat eye makeup look!
  • Cat eye makeup starts with a major choice. You must decide if you want to take on this task of trying to apply cat eye makeup liner with a liquid liner or a pencil liner. If you’re new to applying liner, pencil liner is much more forgiving. But, liquid can give you bolder results. To figure out which works best for you, it’s a great idea to try out both. You can also find liquid pen liner which is kind of the best of both worlds offering easy application and bold color! When choosing the liquid pen, be sure you find the shortest pen tip available because it will give you the most control possible. You can choose any dark color but black is obviously the most common choice for this task.
  • Before you start with the liner however, you must prime your eyelid area. Most people choose not to use bold shadow when they are doing cat eye makeup. So, go for a neutral highlighting shadow and sweep it over your entire eyelid before you start with the eyeliner. A shimmery shadow can help you get the sexy look you’re looking for.
  • After you gather your eyeliner, simply set up a hands-free mirror. If you have a magnified mirror, you’ll have better vision throughout the process. After all, when you apply liner you’ll want to be able to clearly see what you’re doing!
  • Starting with the inner corner of the eye, touch the pen lightly to the lashline and drag it toward the outer corner of the eye. The main point here is to draw the line as close to the lash line as you possibly can. A thin line to start is fine. You can always go back and fatten it up to get better results and shape.
  • As you get to the end of your lash line, you can slightly turn the line upward toward your temple. The length of the shade line is up to you but you can always shorten it if you overdo it by dipping a Q-tip in makeup remover and erasing the edge of the line. The placement of the winged tip is more crucial to the beauty results than the length.
  • After you have the eyeliner perfectly applied, it’s time to work on your lashes. For the most dramatic look, false eyelashes are a great option. However, you can learn to do use your own lashes for this as well. If you don’t want to try false lashes, simply start by using an eyelash curler on your lashes. Hold it in place for ten seconds and then immediately apply bold black mascara to the lashes. Allow them to dry and do the same for the other eye. Then add another coat of bold black mascara to finish them off.

Made with basic and easy-to-find ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen, you’ll have healthy, glowing skin in no time!
The Honey Mask: This mask is for great for moisturizing and tightening pores. It works on all skin types and it’s super easy to make because there is only one ingredient! You guessed it: honey.

Directions: Apply the honey to your face, being careful to avoid the eye area. Leave on for 15 – 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. Finish with a cold water rinse to close those newly moisturized pores.
The Oatmeal Mask: Oatmeal has a soothing, anti-inflammatory agent that helps heal rough, itchy, and acne-prone skin. This mask gently sloughs off dead skin cells, creating a clean, smooth feel for naturally radiant skin.
Ingredients: 1 T. oatmeal 1 t. baking soda Water
Directions: Mix oatmeal and baking soda together with just enough water to create a paste. Apply to face, avoiding the eye area, and allow to set, about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cold water to close the pores.
The Banana Mask: If your skin has been damaged by the winter weather or been burned by the sun, the Banana Mask is the perfect remedy. It also serves as an anti-aging agent, keeping your skin fresh and youthful. (Note: This mask is rather rich and therefore not recommended for oily skin types).

When you’re done with your facial, take a few moments to notice how great your skin feels, and how refreshed your spirit is.
You’ll be glowing inside and out!

Au Natural: The Edible Facial

edible facial
Going to the spa is nice, but sometimes your home is just too cozy to leave. If you’re longing for a facial, but lacking the funds, just head to the kitchen and create your own. Here are three simple steps.
1. Steaming
After bringing a pot of water to a boil, lower the heat and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Hold your face over the pot, but not too close, and place a towel over your head to aid in the steaming process. Stay here for about five minutes and enjoy the wonderful aromatherapy as the steam opens your pores.
2. Exfoliate
Uncooked oatmeal and a little warm water make an excellent exfoliant. Mix them together to form a paste and then gently scrub your face to remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells.
3 . Fruit Facial Mask
A fruity facial mask can be made from a variety of fruits. I like this simple recipe for the papaya.
-1/2 cup yogurt
-1 chopped papaya
-1 juiced lemon
-1 teaspoon of honey
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend on low until a paste is formed. Apply to face and leave on for at least thirty minutes. Got any extra left over? Make a smoothie!

Get Rid Of Pimples

face conceal photo CONCEAL!
Use a small makeup brush to dab concealer or cream foundation Evangeline Lilly (in the exact same shade as your skin) directly onto the blemish. Use a fingertip to wipe away excess concealer around the blemish and, if necessary, apply another coat of concealer.
If the makeup becomes cakey, carefully wipe it off and start over. gently brush powder (in the exact same shade as your skin) on top of the concealer.

How To get Rid Of Blemishes (Pimples)
face blemish clean photo CLEAN! Get Glowing!
Wash your face with a gentle, oil- and fragrance-free cleanser; preferably a nondetergent one labeled pH balanced.
If you have oily skin all over your face, use a cleanser that contains benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid.
Don't scrub - irritated skin (Evangeline Lilly) swells around the pores, which can cause breakouts.
Skip toner unless your face is very oily, otherwise it might dry out the skin.
face treat photo TREAT!
Apply a topical acne treatment containing benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid over your entire face, not just where blemishes have already erupted.
At night, use a drying spot-treatment product and dab oil-free moisturizer on dry areas.
In the morning, apply an oil-free sunscreen gel over the entire face.

Tricks Of The Trade:
* If you have oily skin and feel that you need toner, apply it only on the T-zone, and rinse it off afterward (leaving it on can dry the skin turn back the clock). Use a clay mask as often as every three days to absorb excess oil.
* To stop redness and swelling in an emergency situation (job interview, wedding), ask your doctor for a cortisone injection. It calms down a pimple almost instantly.
* If you can't get to your dermatologist (or needles make you squemish), temporarily reduce redness and swelling by dabbing on a drop of drugstore cortisone cream, Preparation H, or Vasocon-A eyedrops.

25 Fall Skin Care Tips

Coloring Your Hair

Hair Colors
Coloring your hair is perhaps the quickest and most dramatic way to change your look. It is also an excuse to go out and buy a new wardrobe of clothes, because you'll find that what suited you as a brunette looks rather drab on a new blonde.
There are two types of hair dyes: permanent and semi-permanent, with variations of each.
A) Permanent Tints:
Must be mixed with hydrogen peroxide to lift hair color. The peroxide opens the hair cuticle so that the tint can penetrate the cortex and form the color. The higher the level of peroxide, the quicker and lighter the result.
B) Semi-Permanent Colors:
They don't actually lift the color - you can either vary the tone within your natural highlights or go darker. Quasi-color contains ethanolamine and 3% peroxide which slightly opens the cuticle. This means that the color can last up to 20 washes and will softly fade as you shampoo, causing no regrowth problem.
C) Semi-Permanent Vegetable Colors:
Contain only vegetable extracts and natural ingredients, so no color is stripped from your hair. It is similar to henna but it doesn't coat the hair (adds shine though). This color sits on the hair's surface and will wash out after about 8 shampoos.
Different coloring methods suit different hair styles, so get some expert advice when deciding which one to go for...
Skin Tone: Your new hair color should complement your skin tone. Light-skinned people don't look good with very dark hair because it draws color out of their skin. Dark, tanned skin doesn't look great when mixed with a one-tone blonde, but four or five blonde, chestnut or honey tones look fabulous.
BLONDE:
If you would love to be blonde, talk the process through with your colorist (or stylist) before you go for it. It should be relatively painless on virgin dark brown hair, but if your hair has been permanently tinted then the process will become a long saga.
Never attempt this kind of dye job on your own for the first time.
RED:
Red is the ultimate sexy shade, for color that cries out for attention. Hair holds on to red-toned pigments well, so going copper-top can be easy for most people.
But be warned - if you are blonde you will usually have to go two or three shades darker than your natural color to achieve a rich red (brunette), and it's not easy to reverse it.
BROWN:
Brunette is always a safe choice as it suits nearly every girl in town. Varying the shade with highlights can achieve a huge range of looks. From chocolate brown and bronze shades to honey or dark blonde, combinations of natural tones gives incredible shine as darker-pigmented tints add condition to your hair.
BLACK:
This is by far the easiest color to accomplish because the molecules in black tints are larger and will cover all hair types very effectively. Caution is needed when using black as it only tends to look good on people with darker and olive skin tones. it's great for getting the goth look, but definitely not for your granny.
Some popular coloring questions:
* Will coloring my hair damage it?
Only if the wrong level of peroxide is used or you are over-processing (too many permanent colors are applied) your hair. If you constantly change your hair color , especially if you go from blonde to brown and back to blonde, you must regularly use deep conditioning treatments.
* Why can colored hair look dull?
Over-processing is the biggest reason. If your hair is starting to look dull, use semi-permanent colors where the pigments sit on top of the hair adding plenty of tone and shine.
* What's better for my hair, semi-permanent or permanent color?
Semi-permanent color give your hair a higher shine and enhance condition, but they won't lift natural hair color. Also, a semi-permanent tint will not cover large amount of grey hair (more than 50%).
If a permanent tint is used correctly, you will always achieve a beautiful effect and semi-permanent tints can be used to maintain these permanent treatments, adding condition.
